SMART TRAPS
For real-time detection and identification of pests at the early stage of infestation, we have developed AgroPestAlert, an interconnected network of smart and electronic trap-devices, assisted by analytic data applications in the cloud, wich are fully integrated to identify pests at the Species level. This information platform transmits to any user connected to the Internet, alerts of pest outbreaks at the very moment they appear so that a trusted community of farmers and pest monitoring systems will be aware of the infestation to contain it in time before their populations get out of control and cause irreparable damage to crops.
SMART TRAPS capture biometric information from the wingbeat of the insects, and abiotic variables of the surrounding environment. These data set is transmitted to the cloud.
HOW IS WORKS
Data analytics, spectral analysis, and machine learning applications process the information, group it, correlate it and generate a database for consultation and issuance of infestation alarms.
The algorithms built identify which species the insect related to each set of data sent by the SMART TRAPS belongs.
